I am a bookkeeper specializing in working for small business owners.  My typical duties include:

  • picking up mail from the post office
  • renewing annual business licenses
  • accounts receivable
  • accounts payable
  • monthly bank reconciliations
  • monthly source deductions
  • quarterly GST
  • year end preparation for accountant

I also do things like prepare flyers for promotional mailings, update Facebook for special events for the business, and so forth.

I specialize in using SIMPLY ACCOUNTING for the bookkeeping.  When the contract jobs I take on get too numerous, I enlist the services of my sister-in-law who is also a bookkeeper.
